Biography

Dr. Patricia (Trish) Collins is an early career researcher and unit-coordinator for Mathematics, Technology, and Science in early childhood with 20+ years of experience as a qualified teacher. She has experience as a mixed method researcher including designing digital animated online surveys for both adults and children, analysing large group (approx. 1000) data sets in widely used applications such as SPSS, and using focus groups and 1:1 interviews with both adults and children to enhance the quantitative data. Trish has expertise in collecting and collating data gathered in metropolitan, country, remote and very remote schools.

Nicole B. Reinke (PhD, GCertEd, MEd) is an experienced educator in the fields of biology and physiology and has worked at universities in Australia and Canada. Nicole is currently located at the University of the Sunshine Coast, and her research interests are centred around empowerment and equity.

Biography

Associate Professor Tridib Saha is the Director of the Education & Training Academy, a key unit within the Vice President Education portfolio. Dr Saha is leading initiatives to improve the educational practices within the university, with an emphasis on positioning Monash University Malaysia's educators as thought leaders in higher education. His efforts include strengthening leadership in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL), acknowledging staff achievements, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement and excellence. Additionally, Dr. Saha plays a crucial role in enhancing Monash Malaysia's reputation as a provider of industry-relevant professional development and a contributor to the nation's skilled workforce-building ambitions. Dr. Saha's commitment to education has been recognized with several prestigious awards, including the VC Award for Teaching Excellence.
