Biography

Dr Vanessa Huron is the Director of Teaching and an Education-Focused Lecturer in the School of Aviation, UNSW Sydney. In addition to driving the UNSW Aviation undergraduate and postgraduate portfolio, Vanessa co-facilitates an undergraduate course focused on improving communication skills for STEMM. Vanessa’s educational expertise extends across both secondary and tertiary education, with over 18 years of experience in designing, developing and teaching education across science, medicine and engineering. Her research draws on her educational experience, including leading and working in various cross-disciplinary research teams to develop and deliver high-impact workplace competency programs, work re-design tools and educational programs.

Biography

Dr Stevie-Jae Hepburn is a lecturer and the Director of Professional Experience in the School of Education, University of Queensland. Her approach to educational program design, review, and evaluation in professional and educational contexts is guided by the principles of andragogy and collaborative practice that supports learning with, from, and about others. Stevie's research experience in collaborative practice spans health disciplines and education. She is currently focused on exploring the role of collaborative practice between school community stakeholders (e.g., parents/carers, school-based health professionals, teachers), schools as health-promoting workplaces, and preparedness for practice during the pre-service and early career period.

Rosa Napolitano-Lincoln (ORCID https://orcid.org/0009-0008-8410-5008) Rosa Napolitano-Lincoln is a Teaching and Research Academic at Edith Cowan University. She has worked with Not for Profit and Government boards that include Prison, Housing, Disability and Early Childhood. Trudi Cooper (ORCID https://orcid.org/0000-0002-4758-5881) Dr Trudi Cooper is an Australian Learning and Teaching Fellow, Associate Professor in Youth Work and a member of the Centre for People Place and Planet at Edith Cowan University. She has received various awards for teaching, research and postgraduate supervision and is the IFNTF Vice-President (Australia).

Biography

Melissa is a trained educator and currently serves as a Unit Coordinator and Lecturer at Edith Cowan University (ECU), where she designs and delivers curriculum for both undergraduate and postgraduate programs in marketing. With over 15 years of professional experience in marketing and communications, Melissa has worked across corporate, not-for-profit, and government sectors, specialising in integrated business and marketing strategies for national and international organisations. Melissa’s research focuses on diversity, equity, inclusion and broader social justice issues, particularly within the educational, teaching and learning landscape. She explores these themes through various marketing lenses, including digital marketing, consumer behaviour, social marketing, internationalisation and marketing education. Melissa seamlessly integrates both her lived and extensive industry experience into her teaching, equipping students with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills essential for success in the evolving business and marketing landscape.

Drawing from her professional experiences, Claire has seamlessly integrated these insights into her higher education teaching methods, with her work recognised both nationally and locally for its outstanding contributions to student learning. Claire’s research focuses on career development and the transition of graduates into the workforce, particularly within the field of teaching and learning. Additionally, she conducts research in marketing, with a specific interest in consumer behaviour. As Associate Dean, Teaching and Learning, Claire is committed to improving student pathways into university and enhancing the overall student experience. She actively seeks opportunities to refine academic programs and ensure students are well-prepared for their future careers.
