Dr Monica Short is a senior lecturer and social science practitioner-researcher in the School of Social Work and Arts at Charles Sturt University, social research expert with Gulbali, adjunct centre scholar with the Australian Centre of Christianity and Culture and facilitator of the International Network of Co-operative Inquirers. mshort@csu.edu.au. Diana Saragi Turnip has over 15 years in higher education, specialising in academic course support and project coordination. At UNSW’s Nexus Program, she enhances education through collaborative changes. As an Educational Developer for the Faculty of Medicine & Health, she translates university-wide initiatives into local solutions, promoting sustainable co-design for educational innovation. She excels in developing innovative learning practices using online technologies. She is a team player who thrives on new ideas, actively listens, and helps stakeholders meet their goals. Passionate about professional growth, she engages in reflective practice and seeks feedback. Her skills include outreach, marketing, administration, research, project management, team building, stakeholder consultation, and strategic selection of teaching strategies based on needs assessments.

Daniela is the Nexus Fellow at the School of Health Sciences at UNSW, and an Adjunct Associate Professor in Occupational Therapy at the University of Canberra. She is interested in programmatic assessment and the use of arts and humanities in higher education.
Dr Ngoc (Ruby) Nguyen

Diffusion of Pedagogical Innovations in Higher Education with Strategic Professional Learning Programme Design

Biography

Dr Ngoc Nguyen (Ruby) is a Lecturer and Learning Designer at the University of Adelaide with a PhD in Education and Media from the same institution. Her research focuses on the integration of media, particularly feature films and TV series, into university teaching. Ruby has extensive experience designing and delivering academic professional development workshops on technology integration, including generative AI, within the framework of TPACK. Her expertise spans curriculum design, pedagogy, and enhancing teaching effectiveness. Ruby has presented at numerous international conferences, including HERDSA, and has contributed peer-reviewed publications on film literacy, multimodal pedagogies, and technology-enhanced learning. She also actively participates in curriculum development, working closely with academic staff to create dynamic learning experiences. In addition to her academic work, she advocates for mental health and wellbeing in education, contributing to projects aimed at improving student support. Her commitment to lifelong learning and interdisciplinary collaboration is reflected in her diverse contributions to higher education.
