Self-regulated and self-directed aptitudes of learning: A foundation for lifelong learning
Biography
I am a fully qualified doctor in my home country and currently a third-year PhD candidate in Medical Education at UNSW.
I have always been passionate about education and have consistently sought innovative ways to overcome challenges, not only for myself but also for my fellow students. Enrolling in a PhD in Medical Education was a long-held dream come true.
My PhD research focuses on self-regulated and self-directed learning in health professionals. As part of my PhD, I am involved in projects that address challenges in developing lifelong learning. By the end of my PhD, I aim to adopt and adapt new educational practices that promote self-directed learning in both students and practicing health professionals. Additionally, I have a strong interest in student selection, assessment, and continuing professional education.
