Dr. Lim Xin Xiang is a lecturer at the National University of Singapore’s Department of Biological Sciences, specializing in molecular biology and forensic science education. His research focuses on interdisciplinary learning, technology integration in education, and the use of AI to enhance learning experiences. Dr. Lim also leads innovative research in forensic science, including forensic proteomics, genetics, and drug analysis, aiming to advance both academic understanding and practical applications. A dedicated educator and researcher, he is committed to shaping the future of science education through innovative teaching methods and cutting-edge research. Dr. Lim’s work bridges disciplines and leverages technology to prepare students and professionals for the evolving demands of the scientific world.

Biography
Dr Mark GAN is an Associate Director of the Centre for Teaching, Learning and Technology (CTLT) and a Resident Fellow at Helix House. As an academic developer, he has been involved in a wide variety of initiatives and programmes to enhance professional development of staff within faculties, schools and beyond. Some of the key programmes include the Development of a Teaching Portfolio for growth and promotion purposes, a teacher mentorship programme, setting up of Learning Communities and the Affiliates Programme on Educational leadership. His research interests lie in the areas of feedback and assessment, reflective practice and the impact of academic development work on teaching quality. Mark received his PhD in Education from the University of Auckland, New Zealand.
Dr Rohini Balapumi

Biography
Dr. Rohini Balapumi is a lecturer and Deputy Director of Learning and Teaching in the School of Management and Marketing at Curtin University. Coming from a computing background, her research explores Generative AI in higher education, focusing on its impact on learning, assessment, and academic integrity. She has implemented AI-driven pedagogical innovations in programming education and collaborates with colleagues to extend these practices across disciplines, fostering transformative learning experiences.
With over a decade of teaching experience in undergraduate and postgraduate education, Dr. Balapumi integrates design thinking and reflective practices to enhance student engagement. She has contributed to research on learning analytics, assessment design, and AI literacy, co-authoring Management Information Systems: Harnessing Technologies for Business & Society.
A Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), she is committed to advancing technology-enhanced learning and ensuring ethical AI integration in assessment, aligning with HERDSA’s focus on higher education innovation.
Mr Qishang Chua

Biography
As an early researcher in the dynamic fields of data science and information systems, Qishang Chua has cultivated a diverse academic background that bridges technology, finance, and educational innovation. His educational journey spans two prestigious Australian institutions: the University of Canberra where he completed a master’s degree in information technology and systems (specialised in Data Science), and the Australian National University, where he earned a double bachelor’s degree in actuarial studies and commerce (major in Finance). Qishang’s research interests converge at the intersection of technology and education, as evidenced by a recent contribution to the "Online and Autonomous Teaching" paper, presented at the Australasian Conference of Information Systems (ACIS) in 2024 where his work explores flexible learning methodologies in the context of pandemic-induced educational transformations.
