Biography

Katrine Sonnenschein is an Associate Professor at BI Norwegian Business School, Department of Leadership and Organizational Behaviour. She received her PhD from Griffith University, Department of International Business and Asian Studies, in 2016. The title of her PhD thesis: Diverse Stakeholders' Perceptions of the Attributes needed by Chinese returned Graduates in the Hotel Industry in China. Her research interests: professional socialization; international education; communication, career.

Guiding the inclusion of First Nations Australians' Science in Higher Education: Co-creation of a curriculum development framework.

Biography

Tiffany is a biochemist/plant pathologist, educator and researcher who specialises in STEM curriculum development and academic professional development. She had a particular interest in ensuring students experience authentic learning opportunities that prepare them to be informed and ethical global citizens. While developing her own cultural intelligence, she encourage academics to do same, so that they can consciously and respectfully include First Nations knowledges into their curriculum.

Biography

Jordan Ah Chee, is a proud Bindjareb/Paylku man on his mother’s side, and Yawuru/Nyikina man on his father’s side. He is a lecturer for the School of Indigenous Knowledges at Murdoch University, teaching Two-Way Science, with a background in Physics. He works towards ensuring that students at Murdoch develop their understanding and appreciation of Indigenous knowledge systems in STEM, to give them the tools to work respectfully and ethically in their careers, and to support the next generation of First Nations scientists.

Biography

Dr Nicholas Charlton is a Learning Adviser, at Griffith University Library. Learning Advisers deliver academic skills sessions and develop e-learning resources to support students to succeed in their tertiary studies. Nicholas’ research interests include assessment design, and implementation, rubrics and marking criteria, program-level assessment and academic literacy. Dr Richard Newsham-West is the Education Programs Manager at the Australian New Zealand College of Anaesthetists and holds an Honorary Associate Professor at Macquarie University, Health Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Science. Biography

Peter Matheis has extensive experience working in the higher education environment. He has held several educational and academic roles at Australian universities and colleges and is working now as the Manager in Learning & Teaching Transformation and Digital Innovation at Navitas. Peter has participated in a variety of large-scale innovative educational projects that have involved the design and application of learning management systems, learning and curriculum designs, data analytics, technology-enhanced learning and the implementation of diverse educational pedagogies. He has expert knowledge of contemporary developments in learning pedagogies, as well as the design of blended, flipped and hybrid teaching and learning approaches. Peter has a keen interest in investigating new developments in pedagogical strategies and the design and delivery of new technologies and discovering new approaches to digital learning environments.
