Biography
Lisa Dent is a lecturer in speech pathology at Australian Catholic University and is a certified practicing member of Speech Pathology Australia. She has worked extensively in rural, remote and regional communities for over 15 years supporting children with communication difficulties. Lisa has worked in higher education for 8 years specifically in the area of professional practice. Her research interests include addressing gaps in service delivery, workforce readiness, developing sustainable clinical placement models, and course design to improve access and equity in higher education.

Reimagining the Teaching School: A tertiary perspective on a school-embedded model of initial teacher education
Biography
Sue Westraad is Head of the School of the Faculty of Education at Alphacrucis University College, she has led teams to research in not for profit, government and higher education contexts. Her primary research and writing focuses on how educational models can be researched, designed, piloted, evaluated and refined to support the improvement of the quality of teaching and learning. Her major research and work in this area has focused on disadvantaged community contexts in developing countries and how education models and associated resources model best practice across the full spectrum of learning and school improvement. Her current research involves applying this concept to the AC Teaching Schools Hub model and models of online learning designed within a biblical worldview context.

Working with students as partners: Best practices in enhancing student leadership skills beyond the classroom
Biography
Dr Misty So-Sum Wai-COOK is Deputy Director & Senior Lecturer at the Centre for English Language Communication and Director of Student Life at the College of Alice & Peter Tan (CAPT). She is also the Chair of the NUS Teaching Academy. Misty has won multiple Centre and NUS teaching excellence awards, and she is now on Annual Teaching Excellence Award (ATEA) Honour Roll. She has also conducted multiple research projects and published papers on academic literacies, tutor and peer feedback in language education, English across the curriculum, and the use of technologies to enhance teaching and learning. Currently, she is leading a center-wide blended learning project at CELC and conducting a number of feedback literacy and AI-related projects on academic writing.
